Day of the Dead
Dia de los Muertos honors the dead with festivals and lively celebrations; celebrates the lives of the deceased with food, drinks, flowers, candles and activities the dead enjoyed in life.
Dia de los Muertos, the dead are also a part of the community, awakened from their eternal sleep to share celebrations with their loved ones.
UNESCO declared this festivity as Intangible Cultural Heritage
Day 1. Nov 1st. Mexico City / Morelia
*The main celebration is the 1st of November at night.
Departure to Morelia.
- Tieme for lunch and free time for resting
- 7:30 pm – Transfer to Santa Fe de la Laguna town, visit family home to do an offering and visit the main temple
- Transfer to Arocutin – Visit the cementery
- Trasfer to Ucasanastacua pier
- Arrive to pier and board the boat for Lapacanda Island.
- Departure from the Island
- Visit the Cocuchucho cementery
- Departure to Morelia
- 03:00 – Arrive to hotel in Morelia
Day 2. Nov 2nd. Morelia/ Ciudad de México
Walking Tour through Morelia, where you this beautiful city, recognized as one of the World Mexican Heritage Cities.
After lunch, departure to Mexico City.
