Sacred Art in Mexico
Mexico City, Queretaro, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Leon
Day 1.- Mexico City
Welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 2.- Mexico City
We’ll begin our sacred tour visiting the main churches of the Historic Centre, sample of the Mexican colonial period.
In the afternoon will go to Coyoacan, colonial quartier with its famous church of San Juan Bautista.
Day 3. - Queretaro
Departure to the city of Queretaro. Walking tour across the historic centre, astonishing with the baroque style of its churches.
Day 4.- San Miguel de Allende / Guanajuato
Departure to the city of San Miguel Allende, visiting the Gothic Parish of San Miguel Arcangel, sample of European Cathedral. On the way to Guanajuato, will visit the Sanctuary of Atotonilco, known as the “Mexican Sistine Chapel”.
Day 5.- Guanajuato
Walking tour in the singular city of Guanajuato, which became the most important silversmith center in New Spain, visiting the principal churches, testimony of this richness.
Day 6.- Guanajuato / León
Departure to the city of León. Visit to the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Luz and the Templo Expiatorio, sample of Gothic Architecture, well known for its catacombs
Day 7.- León / Mexico City
Departure to Mexico City. On the way will make a stop in the city of Celaya where will visit the Cathedral and El Carmen Sanctuary. Arrival to Mexico City.
Day 8.- Mexico City
Transfer to the airport
